The Enugu State Police Command on Sunday accused the Indigenous People of Biafra of attacking its men at some checkpoints in the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmad Abdurraham, disclosed that rifles belonging to the policemen were also carted away by those he described as hoodlums, who attacked his men with cutlasses.

Abdurraham also stated that IPOB was stockpiling the arms allegedly seized from police by their (IPOB) members with a view to using it to achieve their aims.

The CP’s allegation is coming few days after hoodlums attacked policemen at a checkpoint along Railway-line near the popular Ogbete Main Market and another checkpoint at Owelle Court, Awgu Local Government Area of the state.

Abdurrahman pledged that the seized arms would be recovered by the police through intelligence.

“They are stockpiling arms and it is such arms they collect from security that they will use to fight for their interest. So, we are using intelligence and by the Grace of God, we are going to recover all the arms,” he said.

It was gathered that the officers were on duty conducting stop-and-search when they were taken unawares by the hoodlums, who disarmed and injured some of them before destroying their patrol vehicle.

A police source told our reporter that the policemen, who were injured during the separate attacks, were currently receiving treatment in one of the hospitals in the state capital.

Nigeria is a joke. The commissioner of police publicly confirmed the men were on duty conducting stop-and-search. Every idiotic President and his appointed IGP had pledged to remove the menace of police officers on the road. The presence of these fools on Nigerian roads does not minimize the occurrence of social decadence of any form. Why would authorities in the shithole deploy the police on the roads to constitute a public menace?

Armed Police were disarmed by unarmed people? How? The commissioner of Police Enugu state, Ahmed Abdulrahman, knows he is in big trouble over how handled the fracas in Emene, Enugu, that led to people being shot for no necessary reason. His disgraceful interview with the press where he was trying to get 5 boys to admit they have arms was a huge embarrassment. He even said that IPOB was learning martial arts to fight the Federal government with Kung fu lol. Now he is spinning every story he can to make it look like IPOB is armed. Who stockpiles arms by snatching guns? If IPOB wanted guns, they would contribute money and buy it on the black market

This Police commissioner is a disgrace. Lie after lie.

If Nigerian Govt push these armless youths into gun running and armed struggle then Boko Haram will be child's play. Every sane mind knows IPOB is not interested in using guns at least for now.
