The president of Argentina Alberto Fernandez wants his countryman Lionel Messi to return to the country to play at his childhood club Newell’s Old Boys.

The Argentine international started developing his football talent at the Argentine club between 1994 and 2000. He left the club when he was 13-year-old to join the Barcelona youth team.
