Former Chairman of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Mr. Peter Ameh was on Monday arrested by men of the Nigeria Police over allegations of criminal Impersonation and forgery. 


Ameh, who is also the Chairman of Progressive Peoples Alliance, one of the 74  political parties deregistered by INEC is accused of parading himself as an officer of IPAC despite a declaration by the FCT High Court which affirmed Dr. Leonard Nzenwa as the authentic leader of IPAC


He is also accused of the use of IPAC letterhead despite his removal as IPAC chairman 


His arrest followed a petition of Impersonation against him by the present leadership of the IPAC led by AAC Chairman, Dr. Leonard Nzenwa.


Mr. Ameh was apprehended by the Police acting on a tip off after weeks of being elusive and declining all invitation from the officers of the law. 


As at the time of filing this report, he is still being held at the FCT police Command and is expected to appear before a senior magistrate court in Jiwa, Abuja on Tuesday.
