The rationale of Engineer Sule is that Agro-allied industries can grow their raw materials locally in Nasarawa State. These is evident in the remarkable and groundbreaking successes he achieved with DANGOTE, FLOUR MILLS, AZMAN, NEWPAL and OLAM who are now fully established in Nasarawa State.

According to the NEDS (Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy) document, the competitive advantage of Nasarawa State are SOLID MINERALS, AGRICULTURE, POWER, TRANSPORT, INDUSTRY and TOURISM, HEALTH, EDUCATION and SECURITY and it is by harnessing these competitive advantages that government can create the desired enabling environment that will allow the private sector to thrive in Nasarawa State.

In applying himself to this ‘NEDS line of logic’, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule clearly recognizes that Nasarawa State is blessed with 2.7 million hectares of land, out of which 1 million hectares is arable and suitable to any form of agriculture. 

That is why he has positioned Agribusiness as ‘the key driver to his administration’s unique approach to industrialization’, creation of jobs and empowerment of youths and women in Nasarawa State.

It is true that Leadership isn’t rocket science, but to become a successful and effective leader isn’t easy or a cakewalk either.
