Hello, sequel to my Previous post of getting a car, I would like to know the prerequisites or basic things that I should get when buying a car cash and carry. Also any thing I ought to look out for or check. What documents I’m go get on the spotting. Someone mentioned landing paper. Please any information would be great! Make no mistake I’m going with a mechanic but I believe nobody knows it all. It would be best going with some knowledge so I can question a thing or two if I feel something outta place. I intend getting a 2010 Camry full option.

You may decide not to purchase the car same day you want to inspect. Pls ensure you check the VIN of any tokunbo car you wish to purchase. The VIN will tell you the history of the vehicle from abroad and whether it is accidented or not. Once you get the VIN, there are some expert on auto section in nairaland that can help you run the VIN for as low as N1000- N1500. Once you're satisfied with the VIN report, you can now do other physical inspection like check under the car for rust, engine and transmission gauge, interior. Also make sure you test drive to know the condition of the vehicle and gear selection.
Best of luck.
