Your loudest former chairman is now on a mute mode simply because he's now part & parcel of the cabals sharing the largest portion of the National cakes.

D cost of transportation for the common man will increase......
D cost of conveying farm produce from villages to market will skyrocket......
It means ordinary food will become expensive...... hunger loadin....
D negative effect will cut across every sector of the economy..........

All we have now is political NLC. They'd soon be bribed. With all the noise made during GEJ administration and forestalled him from achieving increment in pump price, when apc lied to us that they wanted to increase pump price and remove subsidy once and for all and use proceed for capital projects , employment, curb insecurity, etc. The last time i checked, nothing of such ever happened. All we heard was oh, we still pay subsidy and we never said subsidy would be removed. They've increased pump price 3 times since thst time but same lame duck NLC couldn't do anything, they mellowed down. This is effort in futility because the oga at the top don collect gbemu.

Non o the struggles of this admin surprises me. They choose to use diversification as tool of nepotism rather than transformation. He is busy spending billions on AKK pipeline and prospective for crude while borrowing grains from ECOWAS. Abracadabra economics!

During GEJs price increase of 2012, PDP supporters kept quiet , APC supporters cried injustice

During Buhari's price increase, the reverse has happened

Neither side wishes to remove subsidy. Not does either side really understand how subsidy works and why it must be removed.

They understand how subsidy works but will rather exploit it for financial and political gains.

I think you're using the left side of your brain. So, it's only generators and cars that are affected by the increase? The increase has multiple effects on the life of every Nigerian. If you don't have a car, you will use public transport. Are the transporters not going to increase their fares? It is also going to affect the prices of goods and services which will inturn hit even the poorest.

very immature comment. You don't know virtually everything in Nigeria uses petrol
The amount of immature or kids under 18 years on nairaland is overwhelming. Imagine if you find out you're replying a 16 year old baby

Well, the elite do, but removing it means loss of political power.(GEJ lost partly because he raised prices, Buhari is scared to go all the way and remove subsidies completely because he too does not want to get kicked out, )

The poor people on the other hand don't want to pay high prices for fuel.

Both sides would rather continue with the corrupt subsidy than suffer the initial pain of removing it

NLC died a natural death as soon as that cunning man, Oshiomole left and that Ayuba becomes the president.
In the previous strikes, Oshiomole control NLC by telling the incumbent president what to do,hence the strikes were ineffective.
Ayuba should brace up so that his tenure will be felt in years to come.
He should not allow that Oshiomole to near their meeting place let alone making a decision on their behalf.
He is anti people progress.
