The entire APC supported and still supports total removal. Months ago, Osinbajo assured us that subsidy has gone for good and will never come back. What is then responsible for this sudden jump in price?

No more subsidy, so the price isn’t fixed anymore, market forces determine the price now.

You must think marketers are dangote who have billions in their accounts. Most filling stations are owned by IPMAN and licence to run one costs less than 10m naira. So I don't know where you got it from that they'll build refineries if subsidy is removed. That's some funny and ignorant shit.
FYI, when marketers were doing the importing by themselves, they usually took loans from banks to back their imports.
The only reason stopping sale of our refineries & the construction of new ones is subsidy, The Federal Government has assured Dangote & Rabiu subsidizing of Petroleum products is gone, do you think Dangote is stupid to go and borrow $16 billion dollars to build a refinery when subsidy will exist?, or Rabiu signing a deal with Axxen of France just some days ago to build a refinery in Akwa Ibom State?Notwithstanding most Nigerians will always prefer imported refined crude, because it is way cheaper than Nigeria’s high grade low sulfur Qoe Iboe crude oil. In the United States oil from Nigeria is what is sold as Supreme or Premium gasoline in Gas Stations, not all that regular high sulfur fuel from Venezuela, Iran & elsewhere.

What manner of illiteracy is this? I suggest you get properly informed on the subject. What does sale of refineries or construction of new one have to do with subsidy for Pete's sake? Dangote's refinery is nearing completion and he started building it while subsidy was still in play. Those refineries are not lucrative for sale. It's only a TAM that's the way forward which the powers that be are not interested in due to political interests.
I don't know who told you Nigeria's crude is sulfur filled. I suspect you're ignorant on that matter. How exactly will Nigerians know the difference between imported PMS and locally refined ones? Do you think fuel is bagged like rice or toothpaste? grin grin

This is not the time to increase fuel price in our darling nation at all.

Not with all that is going on around the world, pandemic et al,
When people are finding it difficult to survive.

This is the same reason we voted out the party of thieves and criminals.

This is not the change we voted for.

The same way we sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians praised this government when they reduced fuel price sometimes ago, we should make sure we put our voice together to castigate and talk against this.

That is the voice the government will listen to,
Not the voice of children of hate, frustration and perdition that have never seen any good thing in our country,
That all they do is to wail continously in life.
They even wailed when the price was reduced.
They have been wailing since PMB won the election, even before swearing in!
They are not wailing for the common man like (Omotola) and all other sane and honest people are doing, but they are wailing in pain that the corrupt money being shared to them by the losers they support is not forthcoming anymore.
They have been so used to corruption, they see it as a way of life.
That is what we stand against.

Sane, honest and hardworking Nigerians,
Let us come together to Say no to this fuel increase,
We need no increament at this time and please ignore enemies of the country that want the evil politicians they voted for to remain in power together.

This is not the change we voted for.
Something must be done about this NOW!
God bless Nigeria.

If you are a genuine Nigerian against this increase like us,
Signify and let us take it from here,
We have the Voice and the Power as citizens.
And if you are an enemy of the nation,
aka, children of hate and perdition, aka swines, and dare quote this post to wail,
May the suffering of the masses go to your heads and the heads of your looters you support a 100 folds.
May you be strike down with the hatred for our country that has consumed you from day one.
Quote, let us know who will be struck rn!

We Rise

No mind am jare.
All they care about is themselves.
Rubbish!
A better Nigeria is all we want.

The question is, if subsidy was truly removed, why is the pump price being increased?
It appears, from your post, you don't know what subsidy is.

Petroleum price is increasing because subsidy, they claim, has been removed.

Right move by Vice president Atiku.
On February 8, 2013 African Business magazine in an article title “the shocking truth about fuel subsidy fraud” described Nigeria oil subsidy as the world biggest national frauds. Investigation into Nigeria oil subsidy program by the magazine finds the following:

1. Most alarming fraudulent practice listed in the magazine against Nigeria oil for subsidy program said “Nigerian government pays subsidies on 59m liters of fuel a day while the country consumes just 35 liters a day “
2. Nigerian government paid or owed $14bn in 2011, up 154 % on the previous year, and almost two-thirds the amount Abuja’s entire budget for the year, which stood at $22bn
3. The number of companies importing fuel increased from six in 2006 to 140 by 2011—suggesting that they are huge profits to made from the trade.

Have you ever wondered why Nigerian government was unable to remove the oil subsidy program? Profit by fraudsters was the reason.

So, removing this oil subsidy program does not mean Nigerian government is going to return this money to the pocket of Nigerians.

That is because President Buhari has not said so. And that means someone is pocketing it.

Just tells you how hard it is for Nigerians to win.
