These partner companies are licensed by the original manufacturer. They are cheaper/affordable and therefore it is a crime to sneak them into the US, Canada or EU for sale. That will only bankrupt the mother company while enriching the smugglers.

The drug is manufactured by Gilead and the company has signed non-exclusive voluntary licensing agreements with generic pharmaceutical manufacturers based in Egypt, India and Pakistan to further expand supply. The agreements allow the companies to manufacture the drug for distribution in 127 countries. The countries consist of nearly all low-income and lower-middle income countries, as well as several upper-middle- and high-income countries that face significant obstacles to healthcare access. That drug has been in use for covid patients in US, Canada and around the globe. The only reason might that it’s been subsidized for Africa and South Asian countries who previously don’t have access to it.

The goal might be not to resale an already subsidized product to non designated regions.

I think you're just bent on playing the victim.

The disease comes with many symptoms. Most of the time, the individual symptoms are treated instead of administering the vaccine. When the symptoms aren't going away and the condition detoriates or when the case was already severe before being reported, the vaccine is administered. This emergency use approach is common with new drugs. Many countries that already use this vaccin (including Canada and the EU) do/did the same thing. It's even coming late to Africa and wouldn't have come at all if not for the agreement I described in my last comment here. It's left to Africa to adopt a similar cautious approach and stop playing the victim all the time.
