NCDC Records 156 New Cases, 3 Deaths, 189 Recoveries by Newsbreakers: 9:56am On Sep 05, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 156 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 54,743. Three new deaths were recorded along with 189 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 156 new cases are reported from 17 states- Lagos (36), FCT (35), Oyo (29), Kaduna (10), Abia (9), Osun (5), Ogun (5), Enugu (5), Rivers (4), Nasarawa (3), Ekiti (3), Imo (3), Edo (2), Kwara (2), Katsina (2), Plateau (2), Niger (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 156 cases were from 17 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 36. The Federal Capital Territory followed with 35 cases while Oyo State had 29 cases. 189 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 42,816 from 42,627. Three new deaths were recorded.
