The purpose of the meeting was to inform the Students'Representative of the new step the school management is about to take for the sustenance of the Institution even without the Subvention. It was established that the Institution is facing an acute financial imbalances that has led to her being unable to pay Lecturers' salary in the month of August. Prof. ***** cry was co-cried by all the other Deans present. He submitted that the financial struggles has led the school management to come up with a plan that will help to keep the school running optimally as well as help improve the learning quality for the students. He pointed out that it is needed for Differential fees to be included in the fees paid by students. According to him, the additional fee is to fill the void that is observed in our learning quality. He lamented on how some of our courses haven't been accredited and the fear that even the accredited ones may become unaccredited. This lamentation seem to be the same for all the deans as they all nodded in affirmation to his submission.
Proffessor ****** stated that the new fee called *PROGRAMME NEEDS FEE* is to cater for the peculiar needs of various courses. He asserted that the fee paid by a student from Aeronautic and Astronautic should obviously be different from that of a student from History Department. This differential fee is arrived at after a critical survey of the Needs Analysis of each course hence their increment. The varied differential fees ranges from the least been #25,000 to the highest been #50,000.
