Popular activists Femi Falana has taken over the case of a 22-year-old singer sentenced to death over alleged blasphemy.
The human rights lawyer on Wednesday received the documents of the case from the Kano state judiciary.
The singer, Yahaya Aminu Shariff, was sentenced to death by Kano Shariah court in what has been generating controversies

The idea of this sharia court deciding the fate of a person is very daft and illogical. If is like a house owner and a visitor.
House owner grants visitor access into the house. Visitor says my invisible friend has given me power to own any house I enter, so I now own this house. A fight ensues, and visitor prevails.
That's how sharia court and customary court are.

Don’t be deceived this Kano boy case is like George Floyd case o. A lesson is meant to be learnt from it and that’s why they have not killed the boy like a chicken since because nothing is stopping them. Falana will bring serious international attention to the case! Islam’s days are numbered!
