Nigerians dont hold their governors accountable becus the country is running a unitary system of govt. The FG controls the entire economy of the country and the most essential things that affect the citizens of this country are with the central govt.

This is why some of us are crying for either separation or complete restructuring so that people will understand that their destiny is with their respective leaders once we have a weaker central govt.

governors should and must be held accountable for the things they control in their states.. some of the most essential things that affect citizens are also under the control of the governors like state roads, inner street roads, state owned public institutions...

even if the FG does not do its part the state governors can do it and hope to get reimbursed by the FG.

FG is richer than all the states put together and yet FG has not been able to manage the affairs under it and we expect states to do better. No way.
