I just got admission through direct entry to study physics and I need a available materials to familiarize myself with that course. Note: I used ALEVEL result for the admission process, I don't really know much about the course and that's why I need help from those that are already doing it or a graduate of physics. Thanks

physics really? it is very possible to delve into an area completely out of your field in the future. why physics?

You can not be given physics without having credit in physics, hence you already know something about physics!
The physics you will be studying at the undergraduate will only be an advancement of those you studied at the OLevel. There will be plenty of mathematical description of things. If your OLevel physics teacher has taught you that physics could be learnt without mathematics then you're in trouble now, as you will soon realised that you would have been attending Further Mathematics class at the OLevel grin
For proper introduction, I will suggest you get Haliday & Resnick, that textbook, if read very well, will ground you in physics. If your background in Fmaths is bad, please go and buy Godman, that OLevel Further Mathematics textbook and read it like your life depends on it.
As you are approaching 400Level, you will just have to pick an area of physics for you to specialised and mind you, they are numerous but the available to you will depend on the lecturers in those fields in your department!
Fields in physics include but not limited to:
Theoretical Physics, which could also have branches like Quantum physics, Quantum information theory (a specialist in this area will be hot cake all over the world), computational physics.
Geophysics, with many of its branches (here, you will be doing many of the geologist work but you're not really a geologist cheesy ).
Biophysics and medical physics, here you apply physics principles to biological systems, such as studying how radiations interact with biological systems.
Oceanography and Atmospheric physics, here you apply physics principles to the dynamics of the ocean and the atmosphere. A lot of fluid dynamic theory and thermodynamics will be applied here.

One last thing please. As you are about to start studying physics, get a laptop or at least have access to a computer. Pick a computer language of your choice to romance, I will suggest Python because it is easy to learn and process! Do everything with the language you have picked, calculate with it, design things with it, dream with it cool Also install packages such as MATLAB on your computer and make such your plaything. Do not expect that your lecturers will teach you anything (they will indeed teach you things, but not necessarily what will prosper you, they themselves do not know many many things in physics ), internet, most especially YouTube video will be your greatest lecturer wink

for personal reasons no. how i wish you could go back to study something like information technology, information systems.cyber security or information and communications technology. The reason is because when applying for your job, you will see bsc computer science/information technology and related fields/ BEng. In Nigeria there are tons of programmers and scientists but if u don't have the pali you will not progress like that. by God's grace you will progress
