Arsenal have only made one major purchase, which was Gabriel who transferred from Lille in a €26million deal.

Willian and Dani Ceballos were also brought in, but the latter is on a season-long loan (with no purchase option), while Willian came in on a free transfer.

The Club needs more quality players to improve a clearly average side. The midfield, for instance, is begging for quality. Arteta has sounded out Thomas Partey and Houssem Aouar as necessary additions, but Arsenal can’t seem to afford them at the moment. The Club needs to sell before they can make further purchases. The likes of Sokratis, Callum Chambers and Mustafi are up for sale but there is a shortage of buyers.

The players attracting attention are those Arteta still has in his plans. The likes of Bellerin, Emi Martinez and Lacazette are attracting a lot of interest from other clubs but the Gunners are reluctant to let them leave.
