Dakkada 5th Anniversary Business & Leadership Awards: five exceptional finalists to receive cash prizes of 500,000 Naira each.

All is now set for the much anticipated Dakkada 5th Anniversary Business & Leadership Awards, an award aimed at recognizing, motivating and encouraging young persons who have shown outstanding achievements in various fields cutting across entrepreneurship, careers, community service among other areas endeavour.

The awards, organized to mark the 5th Anniversary of the Dakkada Initiative, a re-orientation drive of His Excellency Gov. Udom Emmanuel, is put together by the Directorate of Marketing & Brand Management, Governor’s Office, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

Giving insight into the awards event, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing & Brand Management, Mr. Ime Uwah said the event, would see five winners taking home a whooping N500,000
each, and that awardees would be selected from award categories of Entrepreneurship, Professionalism, Community Service, Advocacy, Creativity and Innovation.

Uwah noted that the nominees must be Akwa Ibomites between the ages of 18 to 40 years old, who have been productively engaged in the respective award categories for more than a year. Nominations can be made either by the nominees themselves or a third party. According to the Governor's Aide, the event which is billed to hold online via Webinar on the 23rd September 2020 would have nominees and the general public in attendance.

To support the Governor’s vision in encouraging excellence amongst the Youths, the various awards according to their categories, are sponsored by Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel, for Advocacy, Ministry of Local
Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, for Community Service, Hensek Integrated Services, for Creativity & Innovation, Eni Group Limited, for Entrepreneurship and HTG Limited, for Professionalism.
