Specifically, our total daily consumption is 409,000 barrels per day. Dangote's capacity is 650k BPD. BUA is adding another 200k+ BPD in 2023 bringing us to a combined 800k BPD (twice our total needs).

This will not only make us self sufficient, but will make Nigeria a net exporter of Petroleum products. This will also create hundreds of thousands of direct and indirect jobs (mostly in the SW & SS).

Good news for the Naira and the Nigerian economy as a whole.
U guys need to learn how to ignore some topics on nairaland, its pure hatred from our Eastern brother, even if Buhari built a golden castle for them, they'll still hate him

I know bro. We only do this for the record, lest other Nigerian's now & in the future be misinformed & misled with false, bigoted narratives.

Their propaganda is deliberate.

Dangote Group has announced that its refinery would be commissioned by the end of first half in 2021.

Seems the coast is now clear for Dangote to take over Monopoly of Fuel supply in Nigeria just like cement from first half of 2021

Buhari is the best President for the North in terms of business from banning milk importation to help Fulani's herdsmen to total monopoly of Refinery .

Ops

Why should we import milk?
Any Nigerian can buy cows and breed them for milk. It's biz. It's not only for Fulani.

Any business a Fulani man joins, they will shut down other competitors to give the Fulani man a monopoly. Then he will jack up the prices of the commodity like Nigerian cement costing more than cement produced anywhere in the world!

Refineries that were comatose even under your hero Jonathan.
I don't understand you people. These refineries are conduit for massive corruption.
It is simply better government shut them down till people that can manage them effectively are on ground.
The workers would resist any attempt to sell the refineries because majority of them know they can't survive under private management.
So you guys are just realising this fact.

They give the North too much credit and recognition even especially regarding things that they themselves can do and even do better, but tribalism and bigotry won't let them think straight or to apply themselves to do the same thing, even better.

The government offered them free government animal husbandry infrastructure to make wealth from animal husbandry, but they shouted RUGA, they objected, they yelled their usual tribal, bigoted and ignorant rubbish.

They are too negative, self hating and destructive for their own good.

Amen my brother. Apart from the forex that will be generated and ploughed back from the exports, just imagine the effect of ending our daily dollar bleed wasted on importing Petroleum. The effect on the exchange rate will be simply dramatic and the multiplier effects are better seen than imagined.

Honestly the economic projection for Nigeria in the next 10 years going by present efforts and sacrifices, is so bright that it seems like a fairytale, but the truth is numbers don't lie. I just wish we could get this insecurity sorted out.

Igbo sabi business, yet for over 20 years they've been unable to refine petroleum.

Now, the Dangote is about reaping the reward of his venture some Ipob drunks are wailing.
