The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 197 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 55,829. Five new deaths were recorded along with 200 recoveries. Plateau State topped the list. The 197 new cases are reported from 13 states- Plateau (83), Lagos (48), Kaduna (17), FCT (16), Ogun (11), Katsina (7), Imo (4), Edo (3), Nasarawa (3), Rivers (2), Bayelsa (1), Oyo (1), Osun (1). The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 197 cases were from 13 different states. Plateau State recorded the highest number of cases with 83. Lagos State followed with 48 cases while Kaduna State had 17 cases. 200 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 43,810 from 43,610. Five new deaths were recorded.
