WE WONT EMBARRASS THE STATE WITH GOVERNOR/DEPUTY RIFT - PRP Deputy Governorship Candidate.

The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party in the October 2020 Election, Deac. Oluwasesan Oladele has expressed concern over the rift between the state governor and his deputy, describing it as embarrassing to the state. He however accused political parties of unwittingly causing such unfortunate occurrences by granting wavers to people without long standing membership to contest on their platforms for mere financial gains to the parties.

The former banker, in a chat with media correspondents at the party's office on Tuesday 10th October, 2020, described the continued crises at the State House of Assembly as needless and avoidable but consequent upon the rift between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and his deputy, Agboola Ajayi. ''Imagine if the duo had been long-standing members of the APC before picking the joint ticket as governor and deputy in 2016''. He said.

''Until political parties stop giving money-induced wavers to politicians, we won't stop having such unnecessary distractions to peaceful governance''.

''Beyond that, a political party ought to have an ideology or tenets for which it is known, and without which even its flag bearers lack minimum standard by which they weigh themselves. The lack of this in political parties is the reason, even the State lawmakers abandon their duties today in further pursuit of impeachment and suspension projects''. Our state is obviously losing for this'' Oluwasesan regretted.

He boasted that the PRP government, if given the mandate to lead the state, can never witness such distraction because the candidates of the party subscribe to its unambiguous ideological learning, long term membership, as well as commitment to the party's principles. ''We have clearly defined programmes encapsulated in our 5 Basis Principles for pursuit in power. People know what to expect in a PRP government, we are predictable and that is what separates us from the pack.''

He concluded by appealing to the good people of the State to vote the PRP for stability in government and unhindered development of the state.
