Hello my people.
I am in the process of buying a 5-uear Nigerian used Honda pilot 2007.
According to the seller,
1) The AC isn't working, she has spent so much but yet it couldn't be fixed

According to my mechanic
The engine is still very sound
But
1) The Brake master isn't good
2) The shocks absorbers needs replacement
3) Upper ambush* is bad

My observation
1) It requires some body works
2) The pigeon hole ( where documents are being stored) isn't closing
3) The control buttons on the steering wheel isn't working
4) Central lock doesn't lock the driver back door
5) The reverse camera/ display isn't working

With all these, do you think it is a good buy?

Please car experts and/or Honda pilot users should please advise.

Thank you all

Run away from it.
I uses same Pilot, though mine was bought Tokunbo, am enjoying mine to d fullest. But honestly pilot is a nice SUV.
But the issues you stated here are far too much to handle except you have a sincere mechanic.

That vehicle would give you some headaches.
Too much rewiring issues that fixing one could cost you another one.
However, if you have a sincere Honda expert and the money, all can be fixed, but on some days you won't be happy with that vehicle.

Op, Those list of problem mention above are red flag to tell you that seller, who is owner lack maintenance for the pilot. I doubt your mechanic conclusion on engine. My one cent, is don't buy it, because you will regret later. Walk away ! You will get good Honda pilot with little increase in your propose budget.

I think you’re the seller, either ways, 700k seems like a fair price considering all the problems you outlined

Why do Nigerians expect a completely clean vehicle when they are buying an old used car?

Most of what u stated ain't even issues and u should have known u will meet one or two problems when buying a Nigerian used vehicle.

I bought a corolla with a clean body and bad engine in 2018 and my driver has even finished the higher purchase since May. Make up ur damn mind about what u want and stop allowing people confuse u.

It could even be the best car u will use in a while who knows.
