Yesterday's Rotary meeting held at Climax Hotels, with members of Iju Spring of District 9110, visiting Rotarians, intending Rotaracts and invited guests convening in an exclusive hall within the leisure centre. An estimated 15 people participated during this cheery EXCO gathering.

Opportunity President Akeem Rahamon called the meeting to order at exactly 8:35am, sharply prompting Rotarian Moyin to lead in saying Grace, followed by a hearty recital of Rotary's admirable 4-Way Test by Rotarian Anjorin. The day was set and tagged "My Iju Spring"

After several minutes of Iju Spring members sponsoring various interesting club anthems, the Opportunity President Akeem in his official welcome, encouraged Vice President Jimi Bickesteth to assist in rendering a cheerful assessment of recent club activities along with the day's topics of discussion.

The district Rotaract representative from mother club- Omole Golden in person of Rotarian Ayodeji Sobowale was specially introduced to everyone during the VP's address to new members.

Topics of discussion ranged between Club & Project Dues, Professional Membership with Trainings of Rotaracts and Positioned Schedules.

Swanky Rotarian Abiodun Ogundare retains his Starboy position for sorting his membership dues way before becoming a full-fledged Rotarian and that earned him a Star Pin, which was decorated by VP Bickesteth at the behest of President Akeem.

Invited- Rotarian Ayodeji Sobowale also delivered a call to action on the essence of quality membership amongst Rotaracts and Rotarians, while encouraging Iju Spring to keep grooming young and brilliant minds.

Greeted by cheers and hurray, President Akeem Rahamon drops the big gist concerning Rotary District Governor's planned visit, scheduled for Friday 18th of September. Eventually Rotarians Williams, Onifade, Kemisola and Anjorin received individual remarks, while Rotarians Ojugbele, IkuOmola and Bisi basked in comments from President Rahamon as he encouraged Iju Spring members to "go out and see what is practicable out there"

By this time, seasoned refreshments consisting of tea, milk, coffee and plates of delicious party jollof was already in circulation.

On the matter of Rotaracts and intending Rotarians, the availability of Skills and Leadership development programmes was discussed, bearing in mind that the best Avenue to learn is where there is a variety of lessons to choose from. It was also established that decision making on Club activities would be valid only at General Assembly not EXCO meetings.

Briefly picking up pace after President Rahamon's announcement and exchanging lighthearted banter during monetary charges among members of Iju Spring, Partner lawyer and Club Starboy- Rotarian Abiodun Ogundare was particularly enthusiastic in commending Club President Akeem Rahamon's leadership, also saluting VP Jimi Bickesteth's simplicity of events, which he termed "beautiful distraction"

Another major highlight surfaced when Administrative Rotarian Funmilayo Bickesteth timely revealed next week Saturday, 19th of September to be husband/ VP Jimi Bickesteth's birthday. The entire hall went agog with jubilation and wishes in advance, prompting Bickesteth to comically announce a vague stadium as party grounds.

President Akeem smartly concluded today's meeting with an adjournment as he impressed on Rotarian Anjorin to lead the Toast. And everyone raised their respective bottles and cheered to a progressive Future.

Intending and interested Rotaracts should reach out to 0813- 538- 4574.

Happy Birthday in Advance Honorable- Vice President Jimi Bickesteth
