Rita Nkechi Onyeogani, a female photographer has absconded with money placed in her custody by co-wives of the popular Alex Ekubo's wives association amounting to almost N10m.

All efforts to reach her phone number and whatsapp line has proven abortive as she has refused to pick her calls or reply chats on social media.

It all started in January 2020 when a suggestion was made to start up a daily savings, popularly known as AJO by most Nigerians.

She created different whatsapp groups according to the amount you contribute daily ranging from N1,000 to N5000 daily. Members of the group who felt it was a good idea and being that the group was formed on the stronghold of popular Nollywood Actor, Alex Ekubo did not see any foul play whatsoever as they transferred money to her Zenith Account number 2217220921.

But trouble started at the wake of the Coronavirus lockdown as co-wives who contributed, started demanding for their money as they could no longer put up with the contribution and were starving due to not working for some months. From April 2020 she has been giving excuses till she recently refused to reply anyone again...

Her parents and close relations were contacted by Adaeze, the head wife of Alexekubo's wives association. They gave excuses that she was duped by her ex boyfriend who she gave the entire money to for the purchase of two vehicles she wanted to register under Uber, a popular taxi service in Nigeria....

A married woman with 3kids who is one of the co-wives affected by this scam has threatened to go diabolical if her money is not returned to her by the end of this month.

Reports has it that popular Nollywood Actor Alex Ekubo is aware of the situation, but all efforts of our team to reach him on the matter proved abortive as he hasn't replied to any of the instagram DM's sent to him.

The matter is yet to be reported to the police as her parents are begging on her behalf.
