Their Bishops will tell the President, Nigerians are hungry, but they haven't stopped the same Nigerians they say are hungry from bringing offering, tithes, and contributing money for projects in the church in their poor state and during this Covid period.
They said, why should govt Increase taxes, electricity tariff and fuel pump price, but they haven't stopped collecting taxes, and Tithes from their congregations, they still tax them and command them to bring fat offering so that they the work of the Lord will continue.
Do they mean that the poor among them do not deserve tithe, and offering holidays as they too want the government to do. Why do they want the government to do what they do not want to do.
Let the church lead by example by asking people to come to the church, worship God, and go home without bringing tithes, and Offering, they should even feed and distribute clothings to them, that was exactly the example Jesus demonstrated when the people were hungry during famine. Jesus didn't send the people away to the government, but he fed them.
When will the church set Christian Community Bank that will give Non Interest loans to the Christian Communities in Nigeria, so that the poor will be touched directly. These are ways the Christian body will help in cushioning the effects of Covid-19, and not by standing on their altar and dishing out empty curses.
Let the church be the light of the world, and not mouth piece of the devil.
