Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, on Tuesday, in Accra, Ghana, met with representatives of the Nigerian community in the Country.

This was part of the sidelines of the vice president's visit to the West African country, Tuesday, September 15, 2020, as reported by Featured24.

We had reported how Osinbajo jetted out of Nigeria for Ghana, to attend an Extraordinary Summit of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on the situation in Mali.

The meeting with the representatives of Nigerians in Ghana afforded the vice president opportunity to discuss issues bothering on their wellbeing in the Country.

Featured24 reports that Osinbajo also used the opportunity to carry out an on-the-spot assessment of a building owned by the Nigerian High Commission in Ghana, which was demolished in June.

Earlier, Osinbajo who represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the ECOWAS summit, joined other leaders in the sub-region to discuss the political crisis in Mali and the security situation in the sub-region at large.

Featured24 gathered that the Accra meeting will form part of several efforts by leaders in the sub-region to resolve Mali's political crisis.

The vice president was accompanied on the visit to Ghana by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb Zubairu Dada. Osinbajo has since returned to Nigeria.
