Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Wednesday signed has signed into law the Penal Code 2020, which recommends the castration of child rapists.

El-Rufai disclosed this in a statement he released via his official Twitter handle @GovKaduna, where he declared that any male found to have raped a child will henceforth be castrated while female convicts will undergo “bilateral salpingectomy.”
