I think its overrated. I was so eager to watch as local chic wey I b now, but I didn't see anything here. There are so many beautiful areas in Nigeria compared to this, Lagos as a whole s overrated. One city that got me so surprised the first day I visited was Kano, like I've always underrated any Northern states but Kano city amazed me, the area I stayed is far beautiful &organized compared to this video I just watched.

Don’t judge by all this oh! Go there urself...The guy is just taking videos of roads for you. Then come back and judge. It’s where have been from Osborne enroute lekki..The buildings and water guy the money wey dem use Dey buy just lands for all this area na him Dey use dey complete the mansions of those places u are comparing.
Moreover Ikoyi onikan was rated in a report as the most siren Area to leave in the world...They are not exaggerating..Some places in Lagos are just like paradise.

When you remove all the parts of Lagos developed when it was the capital city of Nigeria you find the same problems like any other state, a total failure of foresight and planning where development is wanton leading to socio economic, enviromental challenges manifest in poor infrastructure and poor quality of life.

If not how can a relatively new suburb like Lekki (est. late 80's) be grid locked, flooded and totally congested by now whereas cities such as Abuja remain relatively resilient ro these factors due to slightly better planning.

States are not doing as well as they should be, Lagos inclusive. A new city such as Lekki should have been properly masterplanned considering all the amenities that will make it a viable place to live projecting at least a hundred years ahead.
