Following the death of more than three people as a result of a collapsed three-storey building under construction along Azikiwe Road, in Aba, Abia State, the Deputy Chairman, All Progressives Grand Alliance, South, Engr. Uchenna Okogbuo has advised the State governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu to engage professionals in all the projects to avoid future mishap.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident in a condolence message he personally signed and made available to newsmen, the APGA chieftain, said it had become worrisome, the fire-brigade approach, issues in Abia are approached, adding that it has become imperative for those at the helm of affairs in Abia to engage professionals in all they do.

Engr. Okogbuo, stated that it is a shame that the developer of the building did not have permit to erect the structure, stressing that this goes to show that quacks are deployed by the Abia State government in all facets of the state which according to him, mitigates against progress while making case for professionals irrespective of party affiliations to be recruited to deliver quality jobs to advance the state.

He reemphasized the need for people working for the State at all levels to show commitment, decrying that most projects are manned by unprofessionals without recourse to dangers posed to ordinary citizens.

The APGA chieftain commiserated with families of those who lost loved ones in the mishap and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear this avoidable circumstance.

Recall that the three-storey building collapsed Wednesday morning, killing at least three persons while two persons were rescued from the rubble and rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Ikpeazu cannot employ professional.

He will rather give the contract to illiterate ipob miscreants at less than a quarter of the price in a standard professional organisation.

Then use 1/8th of one quarter to buy kerosene. When the building collapse, Tinubu takes the blame.
