By OLA AJAYI IBADAN – FORMER governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu,  the national chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Chief Bisi Akande, and other chieftains of the party have told the people of the South West to reject President Goodluck Jonathan in the April elections for insulting them. Describing the president as “treacherous” at a well attended rally of the party yesterday, Tinubu said Jonahthan had gone too far by raining abuses on the elders of the zone, saying government of the ACN was far better than the misrule of the Peoples Democratic Party for the past 12 years. The rally was held at the ancient Mapo Hall, Ibadan. Scores of notable chieftains of the PDP defected to the ACN at the rally. Among those that defected are the former Chief of Staff during Senator Rashidi Ladoja led administration, Mr.  Sarafadeen Alli; the chairman of the Implementation Committee of the PDP, Mr. Yunus Akintunde and members of the House of Representatives like Alhaji Ayo Adeseun, Kamil Akinlabi, Tayo Oyetunji and the Oyo State coordinator for Yar’ Adua/Akala 2007 election, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe. Tinubu said, “Jonathan is not the kind of person that we want as president of Nigeria. He is treacherous. He came here and called us rascals. We are rascals for progress, development and for all the good of our people. Speaking further on the comments made by Jonathan about a fortnight ago that his party would not leave the zone for rascals, the former governor of Lagos State said, “In Yorubaland here, since 1854, we have been producing lawyers, doctors, professors and technocrats in all the fields of human endeavour. That is what Tinubu wants, unfortunately it doesn't seem to have been recieved that way. He is about to be smashed to smithereens, exept there is a miracle.

I agree with you Ramnon, Yorubas are probably 8 million out of that inflated 15 million. Igbos should be about 2 million and other groups 2 million.  More like 12 million, the remaining 3 million is made up of multiple registration, which people in Lagos did so rampantly.

Instead of fretting and Looking for how to marry IBB and co. GEJ should just force JEGA and INEC to weed  the voters register. It is computerized and all ten fingers were captured, so all you need is a mainframe computer to match them up and punish multiple registrants by de-listing them. In the north, use Corp members to inspect and Weed out kids who registered. After all we paid for all those DDC machines to have a wholesome voters register.

Its obvious u know nothing about SW. SW can b easily divided in2  two: Lagos (with 6 million voters) and others with (9 million voters). ACN will easily take the chunk of the 9 million votes from other SW states. Quote me anywhere. Lagos is cosmopolitan with most Lagosians well-lettered. The SS and SE people resident in Lagos along with the Yoruba residents usually vote on conviction and performance rather than ethnicity.  What has GEJ achieved since 1999 to convince well-lettered Lagosians he is d right man for the job? Nothing. They have seen Fashola's ACN performing against a bullying predecessor and they have seen GEJ celebrating criminals abandoning the real business of development.

Over 20% of residents in the sw are from the ss and se, the rest 80% of votes will be shared among gej, ribadu, buhari, shekarau, momoh, okotie etc. That will make it about 15.3%/candidate and gej will still top others. How then will gej fail the april polls?
