School resumption: see the new date.
The State Government of Akwa Ibom State has announced the resumption dates of schools in the state. It made this announcement on 14th September, 2020.
It states that schools will be free to open from Monday 21st September, 2020 to 5th October, 2020.
It says all schools should put in place protective measures and adhere strictly to the covid 19 rules.
It also stated that those in primary six will sit for the common entrance examination.
The schools include all primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions that are government own. It also said private own schools are free to open also.
This decision was signed by the commissioner of information and strategy, comrade In EmemObong.
It said University of Uyo will not open because it belongs to the Federal government and it is the Federal government that will say when it will resume.
