PDP Wins Oyegun’s Polling Unit by Shalz247: 5:26pm On Sep 19, 2020

Godwin Obaseki, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Edo gubernatorial election, secured the highest number of votes cast at polling unit 02, ward 002, Oredo local government area, on Saturday.

John Odigie Oyegun, former national chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), voted at this polling unit.

In the result as released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Obaseki polled 109 votes to defeat Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the APC, who garnered 40 votes.

Oyegun had refused to endorse Ize-Iyamu in the buildup to the election, asking the people to vote their election.

“I stand with the people of Edo State and urge them to to come out massively to exercise their democratic rights. They should vote for good governance, common decency, principled leadership, especially in the political arena and the protection of their democratic rights,” he had said in a statement.

“They should by their votes make clear that it is their right to choose their governor and nobody else’s. There is no room for fence sitters. This is a special situation and primitive loyalties should and must be set aside. Remember Mr President’s admonition in an equally challenging pre-election situation in Imo State, “vote your conscience.”

There is nothing breaking here. Oyegun is a liability to APC. He has never won his polling unit for Apc

I saw one result like that APC got over 900 votes and PDP got just 9.
The margin is over 900, i still dey reason that result

look here. you knows nothing about politics and oyegun.

almost all the party leaders rig their Polly units. to stay afloat and relevant. it's do or die at their Polly units. especially people like oshiomole. and majority of them don't win their Polly units. go and check records. even osibanjo and obasenjo didn't won their Polly units. so many of them cannot win Polly units they either buy the voters there or forcefully rig it.

oyegun is different.
