Godwin Obaseki, incumbent governor of Edo state and governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), failed to secure any vote at the polling unit of Adams Oshiomhole, his estrange benefactor. Osagie Ize-Iyamu, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 1,201 votes at ward 10, unit 001, Estako west local government area of the state where Oshiomhole voted.
