NCDC Records 189 News Cases As Total Cases Exceed 57,000 by Newsbreakers: 8:54am On Sep 20, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 189 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 57,145. One new death was recorded along with 126 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 189 new cases are reported from 15 states- Lagos (70), Plateau (37), FCT (24), Kaduna (19), Rivers (12), Oyo (5), Ogun (4), Ebonyi (3), Katsina (3), Ondo (3), Osun (3), Imo (2), Yobe (2), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 189 cases were from 15 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 70. Plateau State followed with 37 cases while the Federal Capital Territory had 24 cases. 126 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 48,431 from 48,305. One new death was recorded.
