1. Power truly belongs to the people.
In principle, democracy makes the above clear. However, in practice (especially in Nigeria), the people have to own their fate and determine their leaders. This was just demonstrated by Edo people.

2. Synergy over godfatherism.
When the people are united and proactive in their actions, any parasitic empire can be defeated.

3. Nigerian elections can be free and fair.
This can only be possible when the people and INEC are determined to do that. A case in point: Edo Gubernatorial 2020.

6. INEC portal aids transparency.
The INEC portal used in this election allowed masses to have real-time tracking of the results. Such transparency bolsters voters confidence to vote and guide their results until they are uploaded. Thus, this progress should be consolidated on by expanding this portal (website) for national use.

7. US and UK bans seem to be working.

8. Security during election has improved.
From what I read and saw during the just concluded election, little or no casualties have been identified as a result of shooting or electoral violence. They may not be perfect yet, but Nigerian security personnel should be applauded.

9. It is not enough to vote/b]
After voting, people should protect their votes until they are uploaded to the INEC website, collated and announced.

10. [b]Hold the elected responsible.

Now that a candidate has won, the people should hold him responsible to perform.

Overall rating for this election: 6.5/10 (the best in a while)

Yours sincerely,
Observing from Michigan, USA

Absolutely Correct..

Here are my Key Points and Lessons Learned

1. Man is not GOD. Men should quit playing GOD. You End up Making a Mockery of yourself. GOD only is GOD

2. Loyalty: If we as Individuals Could be as Loyal to GOD Almighty as the Deputy Governor is, Heaven is a Guarantee.

3. Eliminate Fear! Never be afraid to Confront your battles. No matter how Hot it is.

4. People will try to Bring you down and weigh you down ! Physically, Spiritually, etc. Stand your Ground. As Long as you are on the Path of Righteousness, Refuse to be Intimidated

5. In the Journey of Life, Certain people will disappoint you even those you don't Expect. Refuse to be Discouraged! The List of People that resigned are enough to Discourage the Governor/Deputy Governor

6. Stand For Righteousness no Matter who Ox is Gored. No Matter the Pressure to sell your Conscience..

7. Don't go back to the things you Have left Behind. It will Spell Doom.
Comrade Oshimole Became Popular for his stand against godfatherism only for him to return back to his Vomit..

that US UK EU ban was the masterstroke
as soon as it was issued
majority of them started pulling out
people like Ganduje, yahaya bello etc tactically withdraw.

come on these guys have alot of investments over there and their children are over there I don't think any sane politician should risk not be able to enter US UK and EU countries especially buhari that has a special sick bed there.
They knew that one day their tenure will end but the ban won't end grin

Please US UK and EU should come to our aid and issue more ban to these politicians
they must have sense.
