All over the world Nigerians are renowned professionals in all fields, today reverse is the case. The educational system today has reached a deplorable stage, if not addressed it will continue to affect our children. According to vanguard newspaper, Nigeria has lost her glory in the educational system and is occupying number 145 position in primary education advancement in the world records , in the year 2016, and the position of Nigeria University in the world in 2020 is from 1000 plus.

Causes

It’s believed that the standard or quality of education dropped when the former military president general Babangida abolished grade II education which was primarily responsible for training teachers. Some expert says that not everyone who teaches has the methodology of imparting knowledge to student, that grade II teachers were trained to passionately teach student effortless.

Poor teaching condition, teachers not being respected or not giving their place in the society, the lazyness of students in studying. In the 21st century most schools are still using blackboard with chalk in government school, whereas abroad whiteboard and markers are used, also little or no aid materials are provided for Nigerian teachers to assist the learner.

Working condition

Very poor work condition compared to those abroad, teachers in government schools sometimes work in very harsh conditions, only in some private schools that the condition of work is convenient. All the state’s primary and secondary schools are filled with about 50 to 60 student in a class, and the federal schools with 45/50 students. Not enough desks in the class rooms makes students sit 3 or 4 in a desk, no electricity, no practical materials, and no labs equipment. We are in a computer age, most teachers are not computer literate, many state government schools have no computer labs, and most of the teacher’s standard are not upgraded by the government, they have little no access to scholarships and grants. Most teachers in government schools are not giving accommodations, or incentives. Again punishing of student is no more acceptable, most students are so indiscipline and disrespectful making teaching difficult and strenuous, parents encouraging exams malpractices, paying exorbitant amount for it. Many joining the teaching job because of lack of work.

A very interesting point of view. It was fun to read. I read a similar study from company documents, here is a link to the company with Reviews https://review42.com/reviews/education/papersowl/ they have done a lot of student research over the past ten years. And we selected the best companies for students and created a great list. I think it will be useful for you to read these materials for choosing a supply company. And there are slightly other data. But I think that each author has his own truth. So decide for yourself.
