The national Universities Commission have written to varsities across the nation to firm up arrangements towards instant re-opening of Universities.

The NUC in a Release dated 18th of September 2020 urged the Universities to continue to adhere strictly to the guidelines and directives released by the federal ministry of health and presidential task force on COVID-19 to curb the spread of the Corona virus disease and other NUC quality assurance standards and guidelines.

Furthermore, a joint inspection team comprising of staffs of NUC and the federal ministry of health will undertake verification of reopened universities and their level of compliance with safety standards.
