My Nigerian UK Boss Scammed All Of Us. by Nobody: 12:29am On Sep 22, 2020
If we can get justice again in Nigeria...I'm the next person that should be on the line.

I joined a Multipurpose society in 2017, E-SAVE COOPERATIVE at Ajah, Lagos. Managed by one Mr. Praise and owned by my boss, Mr Jo who hails from Ijapo.

The company had a tough time before I joined, barely 24 customers who were paying far too low to even maintain anything.

When I joined, a couple of other intellectuals teamed up with me to conquer the whole environment, We hit 400 in just 2-3 months and my boss always appreciate us, he buys us big things due to our doggedness.

Sooner, we started raking in N250k per day of which my boss was still very nice, he doesn't ever watch us suffer in vain.

To my utmost surprise, I called my boss one day only to find out that that He's in UK. My heart jumped, my eyes budge...I wasn't even prepared for what my mum had been thinking ever since I joined that job. Eleven Million naira debt (11,000,000)

The first day she saw my boss, she noticed a scar in his upper hand : She declared to me that, that's a gunshot scar, can you really go into a monetary firm with this man? I refused, just because I'm tired of staying home, I didn't want people to start insinuating that I do fraud even though I'm a work-at-home graphics designer.

It happened...It Dawn on all of us, the staff, boss is out of the country, now everyone is out including the manager.

I was the database manager and the supervisor of this firm and I'm quite popular in this area where this happened at Ajah.

After some months, I didn't have any choice, I couldn't stay watching my life in ruins..I started emptying my account paying the closest people that I'm afraid to disappoint, I remember spending up to 300k from my account and savings from years past.

It continued this way for a while, I started losing properties, Customers will see me on the road and collect anything I'm holding....our times of hardwork, we had spread the connection of this company from Ajah down to Epe, We've even entered schools in Lekki... Everything starts to haunt me, I see at least one customer everywhere I go...

I and my colleagues got arrested to the point that I personally went to EFCC.

EFCC, FAFI SECTION BLOCK 9 declared to me that they can't catch a criminal outside of Nigeria, by this time, I was already dying...millions of people will just ask me anytime they see me "What's wrong with you" and I always look at myself, nothing is wrong but the misery is showing right in my face.

The biggest challenge was that at a point, the arrest was too much, I had to stop working. It even got worse cos that time I was facing road mid-day embarrassment....

No way to go again...I started sending fake conversations of I and people pretending to be customers to scare Mr.Jo who had stopped responding but reading my messages.

None of this works until I eventually sent him a letter, a copy of what EFCC gave me for acknowledgement..it hits him even though EFCC had left me to it.

I bought three phones with different SIM CARDS, starts sending threats to his WhatsApp, pretending as customers, he too believed from there that TROUBLE HAD LANDED.

I started retrieving their monies directly to their respective accounts sent to my phone for phone users and for roadside marketers, I was able to give some by hand even though not all but they couldn't fight me because they knew after like 7 months, what's the point fighting. What if they hadn't seen me? From there, I was able to pay 145 out of 600 or more customers.

Later payments starts to slow down till right now when the debt is still at 7.2 Million, I didn't have any scope to use again for him. Payments have reduced to 50k a month.

I had tried my best, I need to recover this money, I need to get my freedom back and I need everyone to be paid. I need to live my normal life back...Ive already lost everything and I plead for justice not to sentence my boss to prison but to recover the money. Here's why?

Mr. Jo didn't pick his match as a wife, she doesn't complement him ..my boss is the most hardworking person In the world, he does marketing in that hot sun with us and never complains, he still appreciates us and never delay our salary, he's so nice that he pays us on the 25 of the month. His wife is the type that never works but she's using two tablets and blackberry passport then, they also live in a luxury apartment in badore....With Mr. Jo's dedication to work, I won't ever believe that he really wanted to scam, I believed he spent all the money to maintain his standard but which got spent unplanned, eventually causing him to flee to UK to avoid embarrassment. He was and is a very nice Person with a good heart and I'll never wish for him to be in prison. I know his location in Glasgow as I've sent creams to him in UK.

I really wish he can't pay up so I settle the rest to stop embarrassment. I'm still very young to start life with that.

I'll Park here. This is really something. 11 Million Naira

If EFCC says they can't have him arrested because he's in UK.. Hmm. I don't agree

1. There's an international police and it can be stepped up to INTERPOLATION through EFCC

2. The situation can be raised with his banks all his account referrals should be the one to be on the front burner.

3. You should consult experts in debt/loan recovery/lawyer.

4. UK is Nigeria's extension. He has luck he met a good guy like you. Other people would have sent folks to him in that his UK. I for one have loads of those type of guys that can deal with such a thrash

5. It's not new. Majority of people in Badore, Labgbasa, and Co are only forming big and are not pure. Just tell me you're from Badore, and I won't take you seriously. Too bad you fell for the package, much worse, didn't listen to your mother's sound counsel. You didn't heed the glaring signs like we all do before we fall into the ditch

There has to be something that can be done

Since he is based in the UK, have you tried contacting the British/Scottish embassy in Nigeria? You even know his location in Glasgow, find out the contact details (Twitter and Email) of the local Police Department there and send them details of how you got scammed by him with solid proofs and the damages he has done to you. I'm pretty sure they will be glad to deport his arse back to Nigeria if they find out your allegations are true.

Good points.
But #2 is not as straightforward as you think especially if the suspect is not
a terrorist and not affiliated with the government.

With the bold, I can see why he doesn't take you serious.
You are still having feeling for a fraudster who makes your life a hell.
When his "charm" has cleared off your eye, you would know what to do
unless this is all fiction.

Trust me it's easy to petition through INTERPOL with fraud cases. It's just a case of people not knowing.

The Op should have his BVN flagged and block. Thus way every bank details linked with him will be flagged and put him in hot seat

This is a small. Matter for me. I've just decided not to help people again
