Focus: What Has Changed?

The reception of the spirit of Christ in the life of a man comes with a significant change. The hallmark of a man who is in Christ is that there is a significant transition from a sinful way of life to a new life in Christ!!!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." (2Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)

The implication of submitting your life to Christ Jesus is that your life is no longer your own; you can no longer live the way you used to live and that your life is now available for Christ to live His life in your life. Hence, as long as Christ lives in you it will be practically impossible for you to live the way you used to live.

When Zacchaeus encountered Jesus, he repented from his evil ways and restituted his ways before God. There is a call for every one of us to examine our ways to see if truly we are living in newness of life. You cannot claim to be in Christ and still be lying, stealing, fighting, keeping malice, committing adultery, exhibiting unforgiveness and engaging in the act of unrighteousness. All men who are truly in Christ resemble Him in His attributes.
