Wednesday, September 8, marked the end of one of the most wanted militia leaders in the country, Terwase Akwaza, a.k.a Gana. He died in controversial circumstances, just as he had lived.

His death was widely celebrated and probably condemned by interested parties. Our very own nairaland graced the front page of it's forum with news of his death and mixed feelings was shared among those who commented on the post.

Here is a rare clip that was recorded on the morning of his death. He can be seen melting out disciplinary actions on a erring member of his Gang. Little did he know it was going to be his last day on Earth.

you're damn right about the last sentence in your post. With that I totally believe your story, I myself witnessed something totally unbelievable in Zaria in 2015 on my way to Kaduna. With so many that died that day, I didn't hear anything on the news.

I don't think so. That guy was a mercenary, a gun for hire with no allegiance to anyone except money.
When granted amnesty the first time, he wanted to run a shadow govt. in Benue state.
Killing him was the best option. I don't believe the military killed him without a nod of approval from "you know who".

If you travel to benue today, many Benue people hail him for protecting their land from fulani invaders. He may not be perfect but that man was not as evil as the media portrayed him. He was fulani herdsmen worst nightmare

no one said he was perfect but he is one of the main reasons that the herdsmen couldn't overrun Benue
