Letter to Buhari: You can't distract us, Anambra APC tells detractors

The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said its main focus is to win the governorship poll in the state next year, stating that nothing will distract it from the goal
.
It said detractors would not distract it from that objective by planting bitterness and rancour amongst the hierarchy of the party.
It maintained that the party was determined to contest and win council poll in the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.
In a statement on Saturday in Awka by the party's Publicity Secretary, Okelo Madukaife, the party described those who wrote an open letter to the President, General Mohammadu Buhari (retd), alleging marginalisation against the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr Chris Ngige, as impostors.

The statement read in part,"Our dynamic chapter of our great party, All Progressives Congress will not be distracted by any side issues in our steady march to victory and good governance of 21 Local Government Councils in Anambra State and the state government.

"Consequently, we will not be drawn into any hasty, irrational, uncalibrated and undigested reactions to a misrepresentation contained in a daily newspaper, casting aspersions on the state party leader( Dr Chris Ngige)

"Anambra APC has not written any petition to the presidency or any other person, living or dead on any matter whatsoever.

"However, just as we dissociate ourselves from the reference publication, with ominous intents, the avalanche of reactions said to have been credited to APC after the fact are hereby disclaimed in shell and content.

"For the avoidance of doubt, our party is very mindful of its set objectives of producing elected officials in 21 Local Governments of Anambra State and getting an APC governor sworn in on March 17,2022.

"Hence, we see the foregoing issue as one in many more distractions lined up by extraneous interests to disenable our focus.
