To all those who are sceptical about a female being a president, I say Ghana have crossed the Rubicon.

Those people need to read the Bible and learn about the story of Deborah as history was made at the students association (NANS) in Ghana chapter when a student, Miss Hamida Umar Ibrahim was elected the first ever female president in the just concluded NANS national convention Ghana Chapter.

A student of the Wisconsin University College, Accra Ghana, VOICE AIR MEDIA reported that Hamida Umar, beat her closest co-contestant, Oyebola Carl Principle from Narh Bhita College Ghana.

The new NANS-Ghana President is the first elected female president of the association, from Kaduna state, Nigeria.

This newspaper confirmed that Comrade Danielson Bamidele Akpan, the President of the National Association of Nigerian students (NANS), had earlier set up a committee (CPC) list after the expiration of his one-year non-renewable tenure since 2019 to conduct the National convention.

But no progressive development on the date and venue of the convention as at the time of filing this report.
