BB NAIJA 2020 WINNER; All you need to know about the winner.

The Big Brother Naija 2020 began on Sunday July 19th 2020 and finally came to an end on Sunday September 27th 2020, crowning Olaimelekan Agbeleshe aka Laycon as the winner.

They were five housemates in total, out of 20 housemates, who made it to the finale, which were: Laycon, Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee. These five housemates with the support gotten from their fans, were able to make it to the top 5 positions. Thereby, completing 71days, making it a total of 10weeks in the Big Brother Naija house.

The first housemate to leave between these final five was Victoria Adeleye aka Vee, next was Neo Akpofure, followed by Rebecca Nengi Hampson, before he was announced as the winner.

Laycon's journey as a big brother contestant began on the 19th of July 2020, when he came into Big Brother Naija Lockdown house. It was pretty obvious at first how he didn't seem to fit in and received criticisms due to his body size from the outside viewers and the housemates.

Laycon introduced himself as a musician and a sexual enthusiast. Therefore, his songs began to receive a lot of attention and downloads as it was even played in the Big Brother house a number of times.

With time, the viewers and housemates began to see Laycon for who he actually was. They testified a lot of times about how smart and intelligent he is. Laycon was quick to bond with another housemate named Erica Ngozi Nlewedim. The duo had an enviable bond.

However, along the way, Laycon, taking the advice of another housemate named Brighto, confessed to Erica that he had feelings for her. Erica on her part, clearly responded that she saw him as a good friend of hers whom she loved and was mentally attracted to.

Erica had someone she was physically attracted to, another housemate named Kiddwaya. They were seen a couple of times being intimate with each other. Laycon was clearly hurt by these acts. The situation got even worse when Laycon started sharing his hurt feelings with the other housemates. This in summary, led to an outburst from Erica, who later on, got disqualified.

Laycon revealed he has an SC genotype in a discussion with other housemates, during his last week in the house. This caused a stir on social media as most were on the terms that he was earning pity votes. Whereas, he had always been seen topping the polls with a percentage of more than 43%, whenever he was up for eviction, and the 60% out of 60% percentage of votes that made him win.

During his stay in the house, Laycon had a net worth of more than 3million naira, in addition to trips to different counties, and is the first housemate in the history of Big Brother Naija to reach a total of 1miilion plus followers while still in the house.

On Sunday September 27th 2020, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced Laycon as the Big Brother Naija Season 5 winner. The joy from Laycon's supporters was immense when he emerged as the winner of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown season. Out of 20 other housemates, their favourite won.

Laycon won for himself 30million naira, a brand new SUV, a two-bedroom apartment, one full year supply of Pepsi, a year supply of munchies, a year supply of indomie, a trip to dublin and a trip to Dubai. In total, he won himself a grand prize of 85million naira.
