Labour has forced FG to decide on electricity tariff. Newsone Nigeria the pressure mounted on both the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) by petrol marketers, tanker owners and other stakeholders influenced the decision of the unions to reluctantly accept deregulation as a policy. However, the federal government in the spirit of giving and taking, also accepted to reverse the increment in the electricity tariffs. That has always been their original intention. Hikes on fuel price and electricity tariffs at the same time so that when labour protest, they will withdraw one and hold on to the main thing. Labour will think they have won without knowing they have been outfoxed by this inconsiderate government. |
