Tecno Mobile has unveiled its latest budget smartphone called the Tecno Spark 6. The Tecno Spark 6 is the successor to the previous Tecno Spark 5. It comes with a larger screen but same resolution, a better processor and an improved camera when compared to the predecessor. Tecno Spark 6 price in Nigeria, specs and features will be written in this article. I'll also be doing a review of the Tecno Spark 6 telling you if it is worth it.

Design and Body

Taking a look at the phone, you'd notice the Tecno Spark 6 has a good design which makes it look attractive. It has a plastic body which makes it look cheap. It has a thickness of 9.2 mm and weighs about 175 grams. At the rear, you'd see that quad-camera setup, a fingerprint sensor, "Spark" and "Tecno" branding. At the sides, you have the power button and the volume rockers.

Display

In this aspect, the Tecno Spark 6 didn't get any good upgrade except for screen size, the resolution still remains the same. The Tecno Spark 6 sports a 6.8 inches IPS LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 720×1640 pixels and 264 PPI density. The display has a 480 nits maximum brightness.

Processor and Memory

The Spark 6 got a worthy upgrade in this department when compared to its predecessor. The Tecno Spark 6 is powered by the octa-core MediaTek Helio G70 processor which has a maximum clock speed of 2.0 GHz. It is coupled with Mali G52 2EEMC2 in charge of graphics and gaming. This phone comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage. It has a dedicated micro SD card slot for expanding the storage.

Camera

Coming to the camera department, the Tecno Spark 6 got a substantial upgrade when compared to Tecno Spark 5, its predecessor. It has a quad rear camera setup which features a 16MP main camera, 2MP macro camera, 2MP depth camera and a QVGA camera. The rear camera can record 1440p videos at 30 fps.
On the front, there is an 8 megapixels camera for taking selfies and video calls. The selfie camera has a dual-LED flash to help in low light situations. It can record 1080p videos at 30 fps.
The cameras have AI camera, AI scene recognition, AI body shaping and AI HDR.

Network and Connectivity

Tecno Spark 6 has support for 4G LTE which gives you access to fast internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps when downloading and browsing the web. It also comes with WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, FM radio and WiFi hotspot. It has support for OTG (On The Go).

Battery and Charging

Coming to this department, the phone didn't get any major upgrade as the battery capacity remains the same as its predecessor. The Tecno Spark 6 comes with a 5,000 mAh battery which is not removable.
As for charging, it has support for 18W flash charge according to the information available on their Pakistan website. It charges via the micro USB port.

Software

The Tecno Spark 6 runs on Android 10 with HiOS 7.0 skin on top.

Tecno Spark 6 price in Nigeria starts at around 58,999 Naira depending on your location. It will be available across the country very soon. The price of the Spark 6 starts at $125 in Pakistan.

Tecno Spark 6 Review

Looking at the specs of the Spark 6, I'll say it has some good specs. It also has some major deal-breakers like the low-resolution display, micro USB port and cheap build quality. Then looking at the price tag of the phone, I'll say it is not worth it as there are several better options. However, you can buy it if you can live with the deal-breakers.
