No doubt death is inevitable as everyone no matter how long, will surely die. In this article, I will share Nollywood Celebrities that have joined their ancestors in the month of September 2020.

They were very active in their creative field and entertained us very well until they joined their ancestors. One of them is even an academician, a professor.

These Celebrities have contributed immensely to the growth of movie production in Nigeria and in the rest of the world.

So, withouth much waste of time here are the list of Nollywood Celebrities that have joined their ancestors:

1.) Ayo Akinwale,

Ayo Akinwale, unto his death was a veteran Nollywood actor andlecturer in the Department of Performing Arts, University of Ilorin.

He was born in Ibadan in 19 1946,attended Methodist High School and the University of Ibadan before commencing academic work as a lecturer at the Polytechnic Ibadan.

He was the Dean, Faculty of Arts and Culture of University of Ilorin .

Professor Akinwale started his acting career in the 1970s featuring in television and drama productions.

He died due to a brief illness in the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital at the age of74, on September 13, 2020.

2.) Jimoh Aliu

Jimoh Aliu better known as Aworo was a Nigerian dramatist, sculptor, film writer, playwright and director.

He was born on 11 November 1939 at Okemesi , a city in Ekiti State southwestern Nigeria.

Aliu began acting in 1959 when Akin Ogungbe, a Nigerian veteran dramatist visited his hometown, the same year he joined the Akin Ogungbe theatre group where he gained some experience in drama.

Aliu died at Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital in Ado-Ekiti on 17 September 2020 after a brief illness.

3.) Louisa Nwobodo

Louisa Nwobodo was a veteran Nollywood actress who was popular for featuring as ijeuwa in the movie titled ‘indemnity’. She was born in 1942. She started are acting career in 2001.

Nwobodo, was a former Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Enugu Chapter.

Nwobodo died on September 13, 2020, after she slumped in her car at St. Mulumbas Catholic Church, New haven in Enugu.

All efforts to revive her proved futile as she was declared dead on arrival at the hospital. She died at the age of 78.

May their souls rest in peace.
