WHY NIGERIA IS NOT WORKING AND MAY NEVER WORK
Even If Nigeria Will Ever Work, Certainly Not This Way We Are Going

MARK 3:25… AND IF A HOUSE BE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF, THAT HOUSE CANNOT STAND…
AMOS 3:3… CAN TWO WALK TOGETHER, EXCEPT THEY BE AGREED?
Though Jesus Christ used this same words in another context, but its meaning is practical to the situation of Nigeria

Nigeria is not working today because it was never designed to work by the British. In His book, Path to Nigeria Freedom which was published in 1947 late Chief Awolowo said, “Nigeria is not a nation, it is a mere geographical expression.” And He was right.
The set of British formal colonial masters who amalgamated the north with the south knew that the problems they were creating will last for generations, yet they did it out of their selfish interest not minding the consequences. They saw that the regions then had the potential for greatness more than their nation and that if set on the right trajectories, would become a force to be reckoned with in the future hence, they planned an endemic system of sabotage and continuous exploitation
It was Sir Abubaka Tafawa Balewa who said that Nigeria is only united on paper, so we were united only in the intentions of the British but not in reality, so as for them to continue ruling us and diverting our rich natural resources to building their economy, which they did and are called Developed Nation today.
Nigeria is not a nation and was never one. A nation is made up of people with same or little difference in ideology and philosophy, culture and traditions, religion and belief system, even in language and tribal affiliations. These homogeneous ingredients are the requisite materials that help to forestall patriotism, faith, peace, progress, and unity. And Nigeria lacks this ingredients.
Though people tends to categorize everyone in this country as Nigerians but it is a mistake, there are no “Nigerians” in the same sense as there are “English” or “Greek” or “French”. So in this sense Nigeria today is merely a conglomeration of ethnic group nations of “Ibo”, “Hausa”, “Yoruba”, “Tiv”, “Bini”, “Ijaw”, “Fulani”, with conflicting heterogeneous ideologies and practicalities.
This is why the north will fight the east any day and at any time, and the south will not want to be pocketed by the west, HENCE THERE WILL NEVER BE UNITY, EXCEPT NIGERIA SOLUTIONIAZE THIS INTENTIONAL ERROR OF THE BRITISH, BY MEETING TOGETHER TO FIND A DIFFERENT WAY OUT TAILORED ACCORDING TO THE UNIQUENESS OF THEIR VARIOUS REGIONS AND ETHNICITY, OR BALKANIZE INTO SEVERAL HOMOGENEOUS REGIONS WITH THEIR OWN CONSTITUTIONS AND SOVEREIGNTY AS NATIONS.

The people who said that the beauty of Nigeria is in her DIVERSITY forget to tell us that diversity first promotes HOMOGENEITY, and that when we acknowledge, understand and respect others divergent ethnicity and culture, this same gesture will be reciprocated and then the beauty of diversity will bring about UNITY, FAITH, PEACE, AND PROGRESS for all. Can you tell me if this is the case of Nigeria?

HOW CAN NIGERIA EVER WORK WHEN WE DO NOT HAVE LEADERS, WE ONLY HAVE HEADS WITH RULERS MENTALITY

That Nigeria was even termed, ‘a mere geographic expression,’ does not mean that it could not have worked out if we had good leaders with good policies that were implemented. Italy used to be described also as a mere geographical expression, they had their own fair share of instabilities with the Mafia and corruption but today, its strength is the vibrancy of its private sector and economy.
India has several religions and peoples with different groupings yet they are doing well today because their leaders are doing the right things. Or who could have taught that Vietnam world be heading in the right direction today, giving what they have passed through as a nation?

A good leader would have ensured that though we were forced into this marriage together, but still try everything possible to make it work. They would have come up with good policies and made sure that it was implemented to the details. The leaders who fought for Nigeria’s independence had good plans though they were also not perfect, but they tried their best, and I believe that they wanted a Nigeria that is strong and united based on their regional contributions.
Permit me to borrow the title of the last book of the late author Chinua Achebe, ‘There Was A Country’ conceived by our past leaders, but the rulers of today disguised as leaders, have aborted that conception and are currently herding this Nigeria to the bottom less pit of hunger recession, unending corruption, hyperinflation, and genocidal ethnic cleansing.
They think like rulers, behave like rulers, and act like rulers. There is no atom of leadership in their blood hence will never sacrifice their comfort for the betterment of the nation. In fact they want to be worship and referenced and nobody can question their wrong doing, they see the people who voted for them as slaves and will treat them as such, and this goes on and on both in the south, north, east and western part of Nigeria.

HOW CAN NIGERIA WORK WHEN THE WEST (BRITISH, AMERICA, AND NOW CHINA) KEEP ON TELLING OUR RULERS WHAT TO DO

Right from 1914 till date Britain is still interfering in the politics and economy of Nigeria, before they gave us independence in 1960, they put in place some hidden plans and agenda to continue to rule us even when they are not here, so our rulers keep visiting them now and then in Chatham House to give them updates. Some Nigerian elders both from the north and south are aware of this in fact, they still support the master and slave arrangement to the detriment of our development and growth.
America also joined the league because of our natural resources and their pact with the colonial master British. America even dictates who rules us like the present regime in power now, and of course they will all always favour the north; who are the British Bull dog used to guard the Nigeria’s farm investment, where they have their own share of the harvest every season, what a pathetic tale of Nigeria’s woes.
And then comes the Chinese, who have been courting Nigeria for a long time now and finally the British and America are gradually letting go of their grip of the farm hence, China very soon will become the new owner. And when that finally happens, everybody will say goodbye to Capitalism and democracy. Ho sorry… has it not started already with this regime since 2015?

HOW CAN NIGERIA WORK WHEN WE ARE GRADUALLY HEADING TOWARDS SOCIALISM

Nigeria was a full capitalist democratic country before now, but I can’t say she is presently. Since May 29th 2015, the government has been heading the ship of Nigeria politics towards socialism and it looks as if the citizens are not aware. This infuse of socialist ideology into a capitalist structured economy and politics is what has created confusion and some of the problems we have been facing for quite a while now.
The Chinese government we are romancing with is a Socialist nation and so are most of her allies, so why won’t they encourage Nigeria along that path. In a socialist state your rights as a citizen are sometimes not recognized, you can’t protest against the government or lead anything called REVOLUTION. The government dictates the tune of the economy and not the private sectors, your private life can even be monitored both online and offline. Anything you say against the government is termed, ‘HATE SPEECH’ and you will be arrested and jailed.
Socialism does not respect religion or God, and they sure hate Christianity because of its free willed and liberalized nature, so how can Nigeria ever work with this system already being tested in a majority Muslim North, Christian South, and African Traditional Worship thrown among the two, when this is not China.
This conflict of infusing socialist ideology into a capitalist democratized/ liberalized economy, has affected business relations and transactions, trade, investment and the entire financial sector, this unevenness will escalate into more inflation, borrowing thereby incurring more debt for the nation. And this is manifested in hardship, hunger and poverty in the land. NIGERIA WILL NEVER WORK THIS WAY

HOW CAN NIGERIA WORK WHEN AN AVERAGE NIGERIAN LOVES CORRUPTION

Yes! Most Nigerians truly loves and cherish corruption, they have been programmed and induced to do so over the years by series of circumstances and situations which in most cases are not entirely of their making. See in Nigeria everything around you thrives in corruption and encourages corruption, even when you try to avoid and escape it at times, it still finds a way of hunting you down.
Corruption has been institutionalized in Nigeria to the extent that virtually all the three tiers of Government; the legislature, executive, and judiciary, are swimming in it, from the Houses of Senate/Representative/ State Assembly, to the Police, and the Law courts, corruption is DOING WELL
This leaders we say are corrupt, are people who were ordinary citizens before they were called or elected into political offices, so they did not just became soiled when they assumed power rather, were already tinted with corruption when they were still ordinary citizens. Just that when they became leaders, the avenue for corruption to be fed and grown into a monster presented itself.
An average Nigerian citizen knows that hard work pays but with time, why corruption pays faster and far better, and the thing is that most corrupt people get away with the act because even the system set up to arrest and prosecute them are equally corrupt hence, they can bribe their way out. Since corruption makes it easy to become rich, must citizen chose the easy way out.
Corruption has crippled most of the viable sectors of the economy, people are looting and laundering the funds that ought to have been used for development and growth, and now the most painful thing is, the bodies set up to fight corruption, the EFCC, ICPC, NAFDAC, etc, are now also corruption and so corruption is fighting us back. The Police is corrupt ho yes! We all know this, corruption has skewed the law and the judiciary so now tell me, where will true justice come from? With this, HOW CAN NIGERIA EVER WORK, WHEN ALMOST EVERYONE IS CORRUPT?

HOW CAN NIGERIA WORK WHEN THE BLOOD OF THE INNOCENT PEOPLE MARGINALIZED AND KILLED EVERY NOW AND THEN ARE CRYING OUT FOR VENGEANCE, BOTH IN THE NORTH AND SOUTH

Cain killed his brother when his mind became corrupted with hatred, and his dead brother’s blood was crying out to God from the ground it was spilled, and God questioned Cain…
GENESIS 4:10… And He Said, What Hast Thou Done? The Voice Of Thy Brother's Blood Crieth Unto Me From The Ground…

Do you know how many lives of the innocent men and women, boys and girls, and even unborn children, which have been wasted and sent to early graves through this error of the British call Nigeria?
The poverty in the land and the unbalanced justice system which tend to favour the wicked and rich as against the poor, has driven most people into crime and violence, and nowhere seem to be safe anymore. Kidnapping, rape, robberies, fraudulence (yahoo, yahoo, and 419), ritualistic killings, banditry and terrorism is almost becoming a normal lifestyle.
Every parts of Nigeria have been touched by this evil and the victims of all this, are innocent people, those who the government could not protect and even in some cases like in the North Eastern parts of Nigeria, some of this wicked and corrupt leaders even sponsor the killings of innocent citizens, just to remain in power. HO! WHAT A BLOODY COUNTRY
Every day innocent children, men, women, both old and young, even pregnant mothers, are killed by Boko Haram, Herdsmen, Kidnappers, Robbers, Cultist, Ritualists, the list goes on, this nation will never work because of the SPIRITUAL CURSES AND EMBARGO PLACED ON IT. NIGERIA NEEDS DELIVERANCE.
Ever since the CIVIL WAR, Nigeria FAILED SYSTEM has claimed millions of innocent lives, and their blood will fight this country until they are abased and Nigerians ask God for forgiveness and mercy.

A COUNTRY WITH A SKEWED OR FAILED JUSTICE SYSTEM CAN NEVER WORK
A country where the wicked and corrupt are celebrated every day instead of being arrested, trialed and sentenced, but this people bribe their way out and frustrate justice. The younger generation can see that the justice system is not fair and will not favour them when they are honest and true.
Everyone then wants to be rich quick and become powerful enough to buy justice whenever it is not fair to them. The Police knows the bad people and will not touch them and even when they do, will hold them for a while and later release them. The lawyers now bend the law because of what to eat, and innocent lives are left to rot in detention centers and jail all over the states.
CORRUPTION HAS ALMOST SWALLOWED THE LEGISLATURE, EXECUTIVE, AND THE JUDICIARY, THEN HOW CAN NIGERIA EVER WORK?

HOW CAN NIGERIA WORK, WHEN MEN OF GOD WHO ARE CLOSE TO THE RULERS HAVE REFUSED TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH?
People no longer want to hear or know the truth anymore, even the churches are not left out. Some of this corrupt leaders are members of churches, and are friends to men of God but you see, some of the men of God have been compromised because of wealth, fame, and influence that corruption has to offer. They will never tell this corrupt politicians the truth about their leadership, and they even visit them in the Abuja Rock and all other Government states houses, rather this corrupt leaders are praised on the altar and given titles and seat of honour in the so called, ‘Houses of God’.
Where are the prophets and apostles who will raise up and preach the truth not minding what will happen?
If Jesus tares, this country is our temporary home for now and we must do everything to live in it peacefully and joyfully by exposing corruption.
It is either WE KILL THIS CORRUPTION BY ADDRESSING THE ISSUES OF OUR NATION-HOLD OR WE WILL WAKE UP ONE DAY WITH THE WHOLE NATION IN TOTAL CHAOS AND ANARCHY.

SO MANY THINGS ARE WRONG WITH THIS NATION ALL AT ONCE AND IT LOOKS AS IF THERE IS NO HOPE FOR NIGERIA AGAIN, BUT THERE MIGHT STILL BE A WAY OUT
THE WAY OUT WILL BE COSTLY BUT IT WILL FINALLY BRING PEACE TO THIS TROUBLED REGION OF AFRICA AND THE WORLD AT LARGE.
FOREMOST, LET US CALL FOR A SOVEREIGN NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF ALL THE REGIONS OF NIGERIA AND LET THEM DECIDE WHAT THEY WANT FOR THEMSELVES. THEN WE CAN START FROM HERE…

I HEARD THERE IS A PUBLIC HOLIDAY DECLARED FOR OCTOBER 1ST 2020 AND I ASK, WHAT INDEPENDENCE ARE WE CELEBRATING?
