The only thing Nigeria has developed in is in corruption. Back then looting was in thousands, then millions now it's in billions. Have we developed in Education...No. I wrote my WAEC in 2003 and I can tell you that back then the decency of secondary education was far better than what we have presently. Have we developed in power...till date all the government keeps telling us is to pay for services not rendered. I mean who does that? Forcing your citizens to pay for darkness. Have we developed in security...death in Nigeria isn't something sacred anymore. People die on daily basis that when you hear of it you don't even feel anything anymore. A whole governor of bronu was attacked by boko Haram, how would the citizens in such state feel? You leave your house each day not know if it would be your last. The police have become agents of death. They kill law abiding citizens with impunity. Have we improved in production...today every commodity has experienced and inflation of over 100%. From food, to petroleum products, to building materials cement and co, to prices of houses to cars, to custom duty....where are all these monies going? Imagine buhari comparing Nigeria to Saudi Arabia...that man has no shame. Most Nigerians cant even afford two square meal. Have we improved on crime rate...as a child then we do play outside till evening and our parents won't bother...today let a child miss for 30minutes. The parents would nearly have a heart attack. We have become an endangered species to one another... will kill each other brutally and ruthlessly. The hate amongst us is second to none. Living and surviving in Nigeria from birth to 90 years is almost impossible. Have we improved in leadership...our leaders of today see their office as a means to escape poverty. Our lazy youths who should hold them accountable sit 24/7 on social media arguing over rubbish, attacking each other. See I just don't want to talk cos this country is just messed up. Truth is we should just go our separate ways that's the best option for now. Not deceiving ourselves with this failed British project called Nigeria. Happy new month 65 Likes 4 Shares |

Nigeria during the 60’s is better than what we have now! Take for example the dollar to naira conversion! Nigeria has retrogress into oblivion! This op is totally maligned to misinform everyone! Can the OP explain the security situation in both eras? Nigeria in the 60’s was well planned with a blueprint. Present Nigeria is a failed state and needs serious, honest restructuring! 9 Likes |

I earn in USD. My income tripled under this regime... that i previously supported. I have lost any sense of trust in PMB, he's a particularly terrible President. BUT, I have strong faith in Nigeria as a country.

You never talked about what Nigeria's security structure was like neither did you mention the per capita income of the average Nigerian at the time. I didn't see real indices to show if Nigeria is better of at the moment. Of course global population is increasing and with the increase comes building of cities, followed by migration activities; but on a whole, are we any better right now? 6 Likes |
