Nigeria At 60: What Every Nigerian Needs To Know by Ademola47(m): 8:27am On Oct 01, 2020
To start with,
The Federal Republic of Nigeria [FRN] celebrates her 60 years of being independent on the British colonists and 57 years of being a republic today.
What a good news?

But is that really a good news, or at least something not to be sad about?
Definitely No!

An average Nigerian is not happy about how the country is in all ramifications . From the health sector, security, education, commerce, transport industry, infrastructure, sports, and almost all endeavours of life improvement. The only section most are happy about is Entertainment industry.

Several articles have been written on the poor state of the country infrastructural and economical but one thing is always missing. The practical solution!

Most articles writers are fond of saying "do something, find a solution, try some other approach", when in the real sense, they have no proactive measures that can effectively tackle the problem.

I think it's high time we stopped giving attention to useless article. Any adviser/article writer/politician/Nag that wants to help us should demonstrate (practically) what and how to do it.

Secondly,
we need to start seeing ourselves as our own first government, and the politicians as our second government. That way, the burden of 'satisfaction' is placed on each and everyone of us. We will understand that we need to satisfy ourselves by ourselves before any government can satisfy. We need to realize that our success, security and well being is first our priority before government's.

Fine, we need government for basic facilities and a robust economy, but the need shouldn't be over stressed. The truth is that the Nigeria government of today can't satisfy 20% of people. No need be delusional. There's nobody that can be elected that can satisfy half of Nigerians. I don't think the person has been born yet. We need to stop putting all our hope on the government and do something to help ourselves.

Thirdly,
We need to understand one thing. Complaining everyday won't make us move forward. It's almost impossible to wake up in a day and not hear the plight of the common man. We need to save ourselves the stress of nagging unproductively.
We need to save the Cyber space and focus on building our individual selves and by extension, our country.
