NCDC Records 201 New Cases As Total Recoveries Exceed 50,000 by Newsbreakers: 10:42am On Oct 01, 2020
The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 201 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 58,848. One new death was recorded while there were 421 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.

The 201 new cases are reported from 13 states- Lagos (77), Rivers (37), Plateau (25), FCT (13), Kaduna (12), Ogun (12), Adamawa (cool, Taraba (7), Imo (4), Kwara (2), Osun (2), Abia (1), Oyo (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 201 cases were from 13 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 77. Rivers State followed with 37 cases while Plateau State had 25 cases. 421 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 50,358 from 49,937. One new death was recorded.
