Truly, time is running out on this fraudulent system. South West has began to see reason why we should break up, once majority of North sees it too, it will be war between the civil populace and the oppressive government. Only Buhari's resignation can salvage this.

Which apology? Sue The Police.

If not they will continue with abusing and assaulting everyone.

No matter the misconduct carried out by a police officer when carrying out his or her lawful duty, you can't sue him or her as a private citizen.

The Police have shown for the umpteenth time that they aren't friend of the citizens but tools in the hands of the powers that be. When has it become unconstitutional and unlawful to hold protests?

I hope they don't create a storm that will be too much for their tea cup.

That’s not true. This case is an assault/GBH with intent and it is also gross misconduct. Ordinarily, the officer should be subject to disciplinary action and sacked. In cases where officers have carried out unlawful acts against innocent members of public, one of the victim’s standing rights is to sue the police and the erring officer to court for compensation or redress. Once an officer goes beyond his lawful duties and commits a crime, he can also be arrested and detained for judicial disposal. As a private citizen, the officer could be sued to a civil court. I know our 9ja policing judicial system jagajaga sha but police officers are not above the law.

Nobody is above the law. That's the beauty of democracy but bringing it home to what is on ground, the NPF hav disciplinary bodies that is suited with the power of investigating cases of misconduct of its personal and once found guilty of serious breach of conduct the personel would first be dismissed( by now he is no more a menber of the force hence he can be charged t court).

This is amongst he privilege of being a police officer just as being the President or a diplomat
