15. An underlying cause of most of the problems we have faced as a nation is our consistent harping on artificially contrived fault-lines that we have harboured and allowed unnecessarily to fester.

17. We need to begin a sincere process of national healing and this anniversary presents a genuine opportunity to eliminate old and outworn perceptions that are always put to test in the lie they always are.

18. The stereotype of thinking of ourselves as coming from one part of the country before seeing ourselves as Nigerians is a key starting point to project us on the road to our deserved nation’s evolution and integration.

The above are the words of President Muhammadu Buhari, taken from his October 1st 2020 Independence Speech. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Does this president think we Nigerians don't live in Nigeria, that we live abroad?

He talks about artificially contrived lines; and who is the person contriving those lines more than any other president in Nigeria's history?

He talks about a sincere process of national healing. Is PMB's divisive polices promoting national healing or national weakening? This is the president that tried to RUGA-lise the country by harvesting 100 square miles of land each from every state in Nigeria for the fulani nation spread across the African continent. Presently he's pursuing the National Water Resources Bill in the National Assembly.

Mr. President says "thinking of ourselves as coming from one part of the country before seeing ourselves as Nigerians". This is just plainly laughable and insulting to Nigerians' intelligence.

All we need to do is look at the recent DSS secret recruitment, which which gave 535 slots to the core North as against 93 slots from the entire South.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO TELL MR. PRESIDENT, YOU ARE NOT THE MAN YOU SAY; YOU ARE THE MAN YOU ACT.

Action is louder than words, says the the very old immemorial proverb.
