In the once bullets ridden town of Uli in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, where innocent blood of women and children were shed during the Civil War, first October of every month is a day of Thanksgiving to God Almighty. Families in their morning devotions, pray for him, old men with their snuff boxes would offer silent prayers and pray to their Chi to bless and protect him. Even children will sing his praises even when some have not even seen him in person for once.
To an average Igbo man, the name Dr ABC Orjiako is not a name to be toyed with. Though an Orthopedic surgeon by profession, his entrance into the shipping industry (Ordrec Shipping line), Oil and Gas, (Seplat) and many others have turned this young Man into an unquestionable Business mogul.
Surprisingly, all these accomplishments notwithstanding, Dr Ambrose Chukwueloka Orjiakor is humilty personified, an unequaled philanthropist and a man that loves his town Uli and it's people with all his being. Without introduction, he will walk pass you like your next door neighbor or even the neighborhood dry cleaner.
Little wonder, every year, as the Country celebrates its independence, his people celebrate him.
